Tony da Silva. J'ai été formé au PSG. J'y suis resté jusqu'en CFA. Mais je savais que ce serait dur de percer. Alors, j'ai décidé de tenter ma chance au Portugal. J'ai joué à Sandinenses et quatre ans à Chaves en Ligue 2, puis j'ai signé à Amadora en D1 portugaise. Là-bas, j'ai été nommé meilleur arrière droit du championnat. On me voulait en France et j'ai eu cette proposition de Cluj. Financièrement c'était très intéressant. Je suis là depuis un an et demi.
N'êtes-vous pas trop dépaysé en Roumanie ?
Après avoir signé, j'ai pleuré. Je me demandais où j'allais. Mais la Roumanie venait juste d'intégrer l'Union européenne et depuis, la ville a beaucoup évolué, au niveau des infrastructures. Tout a changé en un an et demi. Cluj est une ville universitaire, donc ça bouge beaucoup. Et puis, ici, je suis très respecté. On m'appelle le Pitbull. Il est question de me naturaliser roumain pour me faire jouer en équipe nationale.
Comment fait-on pour battre Rome au Stade olympique ?
Après le tirage, tout le monde nous voyait avec zéro point et pourtant... Nous formons une superbe équipe, qui joue bien au ballon. Les joueurs sont peut-être méconnus du grand public mais ils sont tous très bons. En fait, on ne nourrit aucun complexe, face aux Drogba, Totti et compagnie, parce qu'on n'a rien à perdre. Nous sommes là pour montrer notre valeur, nous jouons sans complexe.
De quoi êtes-vous le plus fier ? Avoir battu la Roma ou concédé le nul contre Chelsea ?
J'espère que ce dont nous pouvons être le plus fier reste à venir. Même si ce que nous avons réussi, c'est beau, on en veut toujours plus et l'on espère que notre fierté, nous l'éprouverons le plus tard possible. Mais si nous devions perdre tous les matches qu'ils nous restent à jouer, nous serions heureux...
Avec quatre points, vous devez tout de même croire à la qualification...
Oui mais on ne se prend pas trop la tête avec cette idée. C'est vrai qu'on y pense. Ce qui nous plaît c'est que des gens comme José Mourinho parlent de nous. Il est de ceux qui, avec Luiz-Felipe Scolari, estiment que nous pratiquons un football attractif.
Qu'est-ce qui fait votre force ?
Paradoxalement, c'est peut-être nos différences culturelles. Nous formons une équipe très cosmopolite, avec 7 Portugais, 11 Argentins, 5 Roumains et 6 Brésiliens. Pour communiquer, on se débrouille. On alterne entre Anglais, Roumain, Portugais et Espagnol !
Après vos exploits, pouvez-vous avoir peur de Bordeaux ?
Franchement, non. Je pense que c'est à Bordeaux d'avoir peur de nous. Nous, on joue sans pression. Nous n'avons rien à perdre. Certes, les Girondins ont impressionné face à la Roma. Ils s'appuient sur de fortes individualités. J'ai vu les images, c'est vrai qu'ils n'ont pas eu de chance. Mais il leur faut une victoire face à nous. Ce sera très difficile pour eux car la pression est sur eux, pas sur nous. On a quatre points, on va à Bordeaux avec le même état d'esprit qu'à Rome.
Face à Drogba et consorts ne vous êtes-vous pas dit « je rêve » ?
Et bien non, d'autant que je connaissais Nicolas Anelka que j'avais côtoyé au PSG. On s'est parlé avant et après le match. C'est plutôt à la fin, que j'ai éprouvé cette impression. Je n'en revenais pas d'avoir joué contre Drogba, même si au Portugal j'avais déjà affronté des gens comme Critiano Ronaldo, Quaresma, Nani ou Anderson. J'étais malheureux pour Drogba quand je l'ai vu sortir en larmes, blessé. Cela fait mal au coeur.
